Hard-covers usually have a clear cellophane or cover over the jacket to help them survive use. All will be complete and intact unless otherwise specified.

Well eBay will not allow you to add insurance! But, they expect sellers to guarantee that the package will arrive. That is a toughy! So if you want to use media mail for 4 bucks, no insurance or tracking will be included, so once I give it to USPS there is nothing I can do. And it is typically scheduled for one week arrival. i.e.
Michigan
to LA, would be scheduled by USPS for 7 days to get there, using Media Mail.
If you want the book faster, priority is the way to go. I will add insurance to this myself. Typical rates are below.
