Description
This vise was restored by me. I am not a welder or a machinist . I am a retired operating engineer who keeps busy restoring old vises close to their original look and function. Restoring a vise is not very difficult but when done correctly time consuming. When I ship I ship the lowest price available . I use no fillers on my vises if something is wrong however slight I'll let you know even if you cant see it. All vises are totally taken apart handles jaws everything all parts are inspected stripped to metal scars nick drill marks file saw marks are sanded to obtain a smooth finish. If vise needs new parts I add them when available most vises get new screws. I use etching primer than paint. Just painting a vise is NOT RESTORING and will not look like this vise. Reassemble highlight grease and test . My goal is to make a beautiful tool great again not a show piece I've sold hundreds of restored vises and have many customers . If your looking for a particular vise let me know I may have one. I love to talk vise and answer all questions about vises mine or questions in general. REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR This vise is 14L 6 1/2H 3 W AND WEIGHTS 27 lbs THE COLOR IS light hammered Blue very close to original Wilton Color when it was Made in 1977 slide date 11 77I ADDED A NEW MAIN NUT ON THIS VISE. When you buy a unrestored vise you are taking a chance under all the grease dirt coats of paint there can be cracks you don't see. pins that are worn or missing .A worn main nut or main screw.Wilton parts are very expensive. So the deal you get at 250 may cost you hundreds more and you do all the work. Is that a deal??? YOU DECIDE
