This vise was restored correctly . I see many listings for a restored vise.Well painting a vise is not restoring. Restoring means totally taken apart inspected for breaks welds damage all paint and grime removed to metal scaring removed by sanding I use no fillers jaws renewed or replaced handles replaced or renewed new screws new pins washers or old screws and holes rethreaded vise is then primed *not paint and primer together *separate then 3 coats of paint and then some vises clear coat letters highlighted reassemble lube check for smoothness tight close every thing lines up all exposed metal polished lube and ready for work.
THAT IS RESTORED . It is not a difficult job but time consuming. To get a vise to look and function as this one does is also costly. But do it right or don't do it and don't call it restored.Remember you get what you pay for . This is a rebranded Columbian 603 1/2 professional vise with ARMSTRONG PLATE the vise was unused sat somewhere for 40 plus years so I RESTORED IT gave it a BLACK STAINLESS STEEL PAINT JOB WITH CLEAR COAT RED HIGHLIGHTS.Vise is absolutely perfect 15 L 9 in H 3 1/2 in jaws 36 lbs . A real find a great professional vise
Unfortunately you can not buy a vise anymore because they are simply not made. This is a 0 vise Since many customers do not realize the difference between a homeowner vise and a professional one the last few photos are regular 3 1/2 and also of a 3 1/2 in Wilton bullet . You are buying one vise the Armstrong the other two are for Sale on my site.
